Indunstrial Art and Technolgy Exhibition, 2010 hosted at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia main campus in Skudai, Johor from 5-7 August 2010. I was invited as one of the panel to judge projects in IT category. Thank you to RMC for giving me the honour to participate in this brilliant event.

The judging was done yesterday. I believe, we have done our part to contributes our thoughts and commentaries. After all, the representer play a big role to explain, convince and to highlight their product features. These is most likely how to sell your products. Some of the products have an excellent features and will be good advantage in commercialization aspects. Which in my opinion, being left over a bit behind by the representer to be more prepared with a good points while presenting to judges. They seem to be more excited to show the advantages of the product in some area of application which i believe will be tough to penetrate with what they got.

Due to my son is being hospitalize until todate, i forgot to publish this article. Please accept my apologize.

I was introduced to Naruto tv series by kidino. I tried to stop from being too addicted but seem it is hard to resist. I’ve stop watching for more than 6 months, but i’ve just downloaded almost what i’ve missed. Beware! you will become addicted too.. Actually i’m not going to talk about naruto. But about the broken video files i’ve downloaded. Sure, it happened to you too. Here is the story…

I’ve downloaded a bunch of naruto tv series in .mkv and .avi format. Unfortunately, when i tried to playback on a PC with VLC player, i wont start. Together with the naruto tv series, there a two naruto movies. Bottom line, the movies came with long hour playback and offcourse with much greater filesize. I like to watch the movie together with my wife and the rest of the fan in the house. So, i’ve decided to transfer from the PC to a USB thumbdrive and playback using SONY player.

First, i’ve trouble with the broken file. Google around and found two magnificent tools to fix the broken files. Meteorite for .mkv and DivFix for .avi, which you can get it here :

Secondly, i’ve trouble to playback the movie (which mostly because of transfer problem with big filesize from PC to thumbdrive), so i do the trick again, google! and i’ve found Copy Large File from Gatherbird.

Booting your Mac from external device

My friend asked me, “how do i reboot a mac from a DVD”. ☺ With confident (muka sardin), i’ve told him, “just press apple + C” while the machine booting up.

…Nothing happens.

The right key for booting-up your Mac from external devices is to hold down “option” key. To force the system into FireWire Disk mode, hold down the T key at startup. Once in FireWire Disk mode you should see a FireWire Logo screensaver on the screen. At this point you can plug the system into another Mac for testing the hard drive.

Run across from one PC to another may resulting you not to have your own favorite editor installed within. Especially the precious and paid-version one. Image editor? In Windows® the default installation will be provided you with old ms-paint* which is has it limitation to handle various format of image/photo file types. If your in Macintosh, you do have Preview to deal with it. It is a pain, when you just want to convert a .PNG to .Jpg vice versa but your old ms-paint* unable to do that. (Perhaps you can upgrade to Windows 7)

Online tools come in handy (with regard that you have an internet access).

You may try Free Online Images Converter from Picture Resize Genius or from Go2Convert

Keyboard Shortcut : Toggle between windows in active application in Mac

Shortcut, as the name suggests, should bring us more productivity juice rather than drag us down. However, some shortcuts may suit you well, some may take more time for you to adapt; to adopt these new shortcuts or to drop them, that’s all depend on you. For me, shortcut is cool method rather than depending to your mouse/trackpad alone.

When you in active application maybe you are opening more than 1 window. Maybe three, maybe more. How to toggle between these active application by using keyboard? Here it is

To switch between windows use: "Cmd" + ” ~" (Tilde)
